This video card is based on Kepler GK106 with 960 CUDA Cores and designed to fill the gap between GK104 and GK107 GPU. Well, one of the best advantage of GTX 660 is, its max power consumption is only 140 Watts so it can run in computer with 500W power supply.

Unfortunately, the GTX 660 is slower than R9 290. According to game-debate.com, the performance of this video card is 17% worse than GTX 660 Ti. The good news is, this GTX card is still great for 1080p and 1440p gaming.
